Coach Clay is in his eighth year with Eastlake High School. He has coached football for 24 years. Recently, he coached at Bothell, Ingraham (State Champs in 1988), and Lake Washington High Schools. Coach Clay has been teaching for the past thirty years and currently is a history teacher at Evergreen Junior High. He also coaches wrestling, girls basketball, and boys baseball.
He has been married thirty-two years to his lovely wife Patty. They have two sons, Jeff a graduate of the University of Washington and currently is an assistant pro at San Point Golf & Country Club in Seattle, and James who is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany. Coach Clay is very proud of his sons.
