| Pat Parnell | Interim Head Coach Coach Parnell grew up in Kirkland and played football at Juanita High School. He then went on to play football as a defensive back at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. After a short stint in the midwest, he returned home in 2008 to begin teaching physical education at nearby Rachel Carson Elementary. He is headed into his fifth year of teaching and coaching and this year will be his first year teaching freshman health and PE at Eastlake High School. He has coached at Redmond and Juanita High School the past three years and is very excited to now be coaching at Eastlake Being at Eastlake for Coach Parnell is more than just coaching football. To be able to coach in the same community as the kids he teaches and the area that he lives is an incredible opportunity. His favorite part of coaching is helping his players grow as men and learn valuable life lessons, using the game of football and being on a team as the teaching tool. Our team core covenants - brotherhood, trust, and mental toughness - are all cornerstone pieces to what Coach Parnell believes in. Coach Parnell is married to a 2005 Eastlake alum and Samantha Smith teacher, Kim Parnell. She has been pushing for Coach Parnell to be an Eastlake Wolf since they met during her days at Inglewood Jr. High. The day is finally here! They reside in the Issaquah highlands. |
| Mike Linker | Varsity Offensive Line Coach Linker is excited to return for a sixth year with the Wolves and 31st year coaching overall. He enjoys working with the Eastlake staff and the community support is awesome. Coach Linker’s tenure includes 19 years at Mercer Island High School where he led the Varsity offense as line coach and offensive coordinator. Coach Linker grew up in Sumner, Washington and graduated from Sumner High School. After high school Coach Linker played football at Washington State University for two years, then transferred to the University of Puget Sound where he played two more years. After graduating from UPS with a degree in Special Education, Coach Linker was drafted by the NFL. After a short season with the Dallas Cowboys, he returned to Washington and settled down with his wife Shannon of 28 years. As a Lieutenant in the Seattle Fire Department, Coach Linker has the luxury of spending time in his real passion: coaching and influencing young men through football. In addition to football, Coach Linker enjoys family time with his three daughters, Abby and son-in-law Marco, Allison, and Averee. Family time often involves watching or going to sporting events, music, cooking, golfing, camping and gardening. |
| Dirk Huebner | Varsity Running Backs/Strength and Conditioning This is Coach Huebner’s eigth season as Eastlake’s Strength and Conditioning Coach and fourth year as the Running Backs Coach. He is a Personal Trainer specializing in sports performance training. Coach Huebner has over 15 years experience in the health and fitness industry working with all ages and skill types, including high school and professional athletes. Coach Huebner was a receiver for two State runners-up football teams from Puyallup High. He holds an Exercise Science degree from Pacific Lutheran University and was a member of the 1993 NAIA National Championship Football Team. Coach Huebner and his wife Sara, a graduate of Eastlake, live in Duvall with their children Jaydan and London. The Huebners look forward to another great season with the Wolves! |
| Kevin Agnew | Varsity Offensive Coordinator This is Coach Agnew’s third year at Eastlake High School. A 3 year letter winner in baseball and football at Woodinville High School , Coach Agnew went on to play baseball at Tacoma Community College and Washington State University . In 2006-2007, Coach Agnew coached quarterbacks at Moscow High School in Idaho. Following his graduation from WSU in 2007, he student taught at Mariner High School where he also coached football and was the head baseball coach. In 2008-2009, he coached at Redmond High School. Kevin is a humanities teacher here at Eastlake and will be in charge of the sophomore football team. Coach Agnew looks forward to working with the Eastlake sophomores and preparing them for varsity football. Kevin currently resides in Sammamish and is also the head baseball coach at Eastlake. |
| Austin Richard | Varsity Defensive Line/TE/Special Teams Coordinator Coach Richard is a 2001 Graduate of Bishop Blanchet High School where he competed in football, wrestling, and track and field. In 2006, he graduated from Whitworth University with a degree in Secondary Education and Kinesiology and a minor in Special Education. He also competed in football and track and field at Whitworth. After graduation, he was a defensive assistant at Whitworth and then came back to the Seattle area to teach and coach football at Shorewood High School and Bishop Blanchet. Coach Richard is married to his wife, Nicole, and they live in Edmonds. He is excited to begin this Fall as a Special Education teacher at Eastlake. |
| Bradley Tonahill | Varsity Linebackers Brad Tonahill played outside linebacker for Eastlake Football in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. He graduated in 2007 and attended Washington State University to pursue a career in education. Graduating college in 2011, Brad earned an English degree and is currently looking for a full-time language arts/social studies teaching position. Brad has returned to the Eastlake family as a varsity assistant coach. |
| Kurtis Butler | Sophomore Head Coach This is Coach Butler’s second year coaching at Eastlake High School. He has enjoyed coaching football and baseball for the past 26 years including10 years for Eastlake youth football and 2 years for Inglewood Junior High. Coach Butler has been married for 27 years to his wife Jamie and he has two sons: Dune 20 and Hunter 18. Coach Butler enjoys the camaraderie with the other coaches, being part of the community and most of all, helping all of the players work hard and achieve their individual and team goals. |
| Joe Clay | Sophomore Offensive/Defensive Line Coach Clay is in his thirteenth year with Eastlake High School. He has coached football for 29 years. Before Eastlake, he coached at Ingraham (State Champs in 1988), Lake Washington and Bothell High Schools. Coach Clay has been teaching for the past 36 years and currently is a history teacher at Evergreen Junior High. He also coaches wrestling, girl’s basketball, and boy’s baseball. He has been married 37 years to his wife Patty. They have two sons: Jeff is a graduate of the University of Washington and currently a PGA professional at Lynnwood Golf Course, and James who is a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force currently stationed in Germany. Coach Clay and his wife are very proud of their sons. |
| Bill Harper | Sophomore Coach Coach Harper grew up in Redmond and graduated from Redmond High School where he played football and baseball. After high school, he played football at Washington State University where he was a wide receiver and graduated with a degree in physical education. Coach Harper has coached 8 years in the Eastlake Youth Football program winning 2 league championships. He is excited to see some of the young men he coached over the years get their chance to play at Eastlake High School. Coach Harper considers it a privilege to be a part of the Eastlake High School football program and looks forward to working with the Sophomores in achieving success in the ultimate team sport. He has been married to his wife Stephanie for 30 years, and they are the proud parents of two college graduates: Katie a Coug and Kristin a Husky, as well as Eric who will be a senior this year at Eastlake. |
| Todd Daugherty | Freshman Head Coach Coach Daugherty is excited to join the Eastlake staff after spending 20 years teaching and coaching on the plateau at Inglewood Jr High. He has taken pride helping student athletes make the transition to high school, and will continue in that roll as the freshman coach. He will also be teaching 9th grade LA/SS at Eastlake. Coach Daugherty has two children attending Eastlake: Drew (Senior), and Claire (Sophomore). He has been married to his wonderful wife Kaaren for 24 years. |
| Tim Cassill | Freshman Coach Coach Cassill grew up on Mercer Island where he played football for MIHS. After graduation he attended the University of Washington. This is his first year coaching at Eastlake after three years of coaching youth football in Bellevue and the past nine years with the Eastlake youth program. His son Bryan graduated from EHS with the class of 2011 and is currently playing JC football in southern California. Coach Cassill plans to spend as many weekends as possible in California to watch him play and will, of course, be at Husky home games on the other weekends. Coach Cassill has been a fan of Eastlake football for years and is looking forward to working with the rest of the coaching staff to help make the freshman a vital part of the program. |
