Coach Smith is a 1976 graduate of the University of Washington where he rowed on two national championship crews and received three varsity letters. A 1979 graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law, he is a partner in Smith Brown Sterling PS, Attorneys and Accountants of Fall City, Washington. His primary focus is on litigation and criminal defense.
Coach Smith has an extensive background in coaching baseball and football over the past nine years with the Eastlake Youth Programs.
Married for 27 years to his wife, Peggy, they have four children, Sandra 25, Christine 24, Cynthia 21, and Stephen 16. They attend Eastridge Christian Assembly where Coach Smith teaches 4th and 5th grade Sunday school.
An avid skier, Coach Smith is Level III certified in ski instruction with 21 years experience in teaching and training instructors on the nuances of ski instruction.
