Spring BALL - WRAP UP
As we have wrapped up Spring Ball, the staff and I could not be more excited and pleased about the progress that was made through June. Starting from scratch with our offensive and defensive schemes, we had a lot of work to do in a short amount of time. The players attacked everything we threw at them and pushed themselves to get better each time we stepped on the field. Our first competitive opportunity was on June 19th at PLU, where we faced some outstanding programs. After those scrimmages, the coaching staff and I identified several areas of improvement that we planned to build on and found some key strengths that will help take our program to the next level. We concluded the last week of practice by taking 50 players to Central Washington University for their fAs we have successfully concluded Spring Ball, I am incredibly proud of the progress our team has made and the dedication shown by both the players and coaching staff throughout June. Starting from scratch with our offensive and defensive schemes, we faced a significant challenge, but the team's hard work and determination allowed us to quickly adapt and implement new strategies. The players exhibited exceptional effort, attacking every practice and game with enthusiasm and a desire to improve, pushing themselves to get better each time we stepped onto the field.
Our first competitive opportunity came on June 19th at PLU, where we competed against some outstanding programs. Those scrimmages provided valuable experience and insight, and afterward, the coaching staff and I carefully analyzed our performance. We identified several areas for improvement and developed targeted plans to address them, while also recognizing key strengths that will serve as building blocks for future success.
To further develop teamwork and camaraderie, we concluded the last week of spring practice by taking 50 players to Central Washington University for their football camp. This event was not only an excellent opportunity to engage in competitive play against other top programs from across the state but also a chance for our players to bond and strengthen their relationships off the field. The camp featured notable plays from several returning varsity players, rising stars, and younger athletes invited to participate. Despite the challenging heatwave conditions, our team recorded impressive performances, and we wrapped up the camp with a final score and a decisive stop in the 3rd & goal challenge on the last day.
Now, as we transition into what I consider the third quarter of our season, we are gearing up for Summer Workouts. Over the next six weeks, Coach Bo will lead us through rigorous on-field training and weight room sessions designed to help us get bigger, stronger, and faster for the upcoming season. In addition to these workouts, we will incorporate Player-Run Practices (PRPs) and group activities to sharpen our skills and maintain our competitive edge.
We will also conclude July with a three-day mini-camp focused on refining our X’s and O’s through practice sessions, ensuring that our team builds on the progress made in June. The camp will culminate with our Pack Olympics, a fun and competitive event where our team leaders will draft their teams to compete in various games, vying for this season’s gold medals. It’s a great way to foster leadership, teamwork, and school spirit.
Looking ahead, we are excited for the upcoming fall season and look forward to seeing you fill the stands on Friday nights. The energy, support, and enthusiasm of our community are essential to our continued success.
Thank you for your unwavering support. Wolf Strong. Pack Strong.
